I am very excited to join atNorth at this critical time in the company’s development,” said David Sandars. The UK data center sector has seen huge increases in the cost of power and a detailed focus on sustainability. AtNorth is ideally placed to support UK companies with a requirement for high performance data center services. The Nordics can offer a cost of power that is a fraction of that in the UK and energy from renewable sources and with connectivity solutions to meet their exact requirements”.

AtNorth enables our customers to hit many of their ESG targets simply by migrating a small proportion of their IT estate to an atNorth data center. We are already seeing a lot of interest from the UK IT industry in relocating to our data center sites in Iceland, Sweden and Finland, I am looking forward to working with our UK customers” added David.

atNorth is experiencing strong growth following the opening of its SWE01 data center in Stockholm in 2022 and the recent acquisition of two data centers from Advania in Finland. The company now operates five data centers in strategic locations across three Nordics countries, with a sixth site to open in Akureyri, Iceland in Q2, 2023. This follows several recent additions to atNorth’s leadership team, including the appointment of Fredrik Jansson as Chief Strategy and Marketing & Communications Officer, Stephen Donovan as Chief Development Officer and the additions of Christopher Delbrück, Peter Gross, Mats Hultin, and Anders Svensson to its Board of Directors.
